Jorginho and Alexia Putellas named UEFA Player of the Year - France 24

Chelsea's Italian midfielder Jorginho, winner of the Champions League and the Euro, and FC Barcelona's Spanish midfielder Alexia Putellas, winner of the Women's C1, were named the UEFA player and player of the year on Thursday.

Jorginho was preferred over teammate N'Golo Kanté and Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne to succeed Robert Lewandowski.

Putellas preceded in the jury votes his two Barça teammates Jenni Hermoso and Lieke Martens, during this ceremony organized in Istanbul on the sidelines of the draw for the groups of the Champions League.
