The inhabitants of the Bourg L'Évêque district in Rennes were panicked Tuesday evening when they saw a man walking through the street with a weapon of war, we learned on Thursday.

This is a MAS submachine gun dating from 1938.

Unable to reassemble it, the forties explained during his hearing that he had found the weapon in a cellar in Nantes and that he intended to resell it.

The individual was referred this Thursday afternoon to the Rennes prosecutor's office for illegal transport of a category A weapon.
