Case 1 is of Chinese nationality. He is an operator of an overseas cargo plane at Pudong Airport. He is a close contact of the local case 2 confirmed on August 20. He is resident in Pudong New Area.
He had been quarantined and observed before, and if symptoms appeared during the period, he was sent to a designated medical institution for isolation and investigation.
After investigation, the new coronavirus nucleic acid test result of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention was positive.
After consultation with city-level experts, combined with clinical and imaging findings and laboratory nucleic acid test results, it was diagnosed as a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia.
Case 2 is of Chinese nationality and is a close contact of the local case confirmed on August 18, resident in Songjiang District.
Prior to this, he had been quarantined and observed, and the district CDC's routine nucleic acid test results were positive.
After investigation, the new coronavirus nucleic acid test result of the Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention was positive.
After consultation with city-level experts, combined with clinical and imaging findings and laboratory nucleic acid test results, it was diagnosed as a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia.
At present, 61 people in close contact with these two cases in Shanghai have been traced, and centralized quarantine and observation have been implemented in the early stage.
Terminal disinfection has been carried out on the places where the cases have been active.
