Monaco pushed Shakthar Donetsk to extra time on Wednesday in the return play-offs of the Champions League by leading 2-1 after regulation time, after being beaten 1-0 in the first leg to Louis II.
The Monegasques once thought they had achieved the feat of overthrowing the Ukrainians thanks to a double from Wissam Ben Yedder in the first period (18th, 39th).
But an achievement by Marlos a quarter of an hour from the end put the two teams tied over the whole of the two games and allowed Shakthar to win extra time.
