“Blinken and Maas exchanged views on our close coordination in Afghanistan, including the transit of thousands of people from Afghanistan through the Ramstein Air Force Base and through other facilities in Germany,” the statement said.
As noted, the parties also discussed the general situation in Afghanistan and future actions.
Earlier, Blinken and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed the situation in Afghanistan during telephone conversations.
