Vincent Collet, coach of the French men's basketball team since 2009, has been extended in his duties until the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, the French Federation announced in a statement on Wednesday.

"After winning his sixth international medal this summer with Olympic silver at the Tokyo Olympics, Vincent Collet (58) will continue his mission as coach of the French men's team until 2024", explained the Federation. .

The coach of the France team will once again don the double hat of coach and coach, since he signed a two-season contract on Wednesday with the Metropolitans 92 de Boulogne-Levallois until June 2023.

He already combined these two functions for more than nine seasons between 2011 and January 2020, when he was at the head of Strasbourg.

After being removed from the SIG at the end of January 2020, he devoted himself to the France team to prepare for the Tokyo Games, concluded in 2nd place two and a half weeks ago.
