At a meeting of the secretary-generals of each faction over the LDP presidential election, there were a number of opinions that it should be held next month based on the party's regulations.

The meeting held in parliament was attended by the secretary-generals of eight factions and parliamentary groups within the LDP.



Among them, in the Mayoral election of Yokohama, which was voted on August 22, "The House of Representatives election to be held by autumn will be a tough battle," following the defeat of former Chairman of the National Public Safety Commission, Hachiro Okonogi, who was supported by Prime Minister Suga. Concerns such as "possible" were expressed, and they agreed that it was necessary to seek the understanding of the government and the ruling party's policies.



In addition, there were a number of opinions that the presidential election due to the expiration of the term of office at the end of September should be held as scheduled in September based on the party's regulations.
