Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has announced the completion of the water pumping station project at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Energy Complex, with a capacity of 7.5 million gallons of desalinated water per day, at a total cost of 23 million and 100 thousand dirhams.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, indicated that the station adopts the latest international technologies that are efficient in energy consumption, stressing that the authority is working to develop the water network throughout Dubai through projects of production, transmission and distribution of water according to the highest standards. Availability, reliability and efficiency to meet the rapid growth and keep pace with the demand for water in the various regions of the Emirate, through specific and reliable planning processes that rely on the latest future foresight tools. The plans to expand the electricity and water infrastructure are based on demand forecasts until 2030.
