Weather and flood warnings rang on the phones of millions of Americans all weekend long.

In the northeast, storm Henri arrived with winds of over 70 km / h and torrential rains.

From New Jersey to Maine, via New York, Rhode Island, nearly 200,000 homes are without electricity.

Nearly 130 mm of water fell in less than 24 hours in some areas.

Bridges and roads are out of use due to flooding.

According to the hurricane center, Henri is expected to ease in the coming hours, but the rain is expected to continue until tonight across the northeast coast.

Further south in Tennessee, flash floods claimed the lives of 21 people while 45 others are missing.

Local authorities are also reporting extensive material damage.

Yesterday, from the White House, Joe Biden announced that a state of natural disaster would be declared in Tennessee and the areas affected by Storm Henri.

A means of unblocking the necessary aid and financial aid.
