Färjestadens högstadieskola has room for 360 students and will be both mobile-free and shoe-free to offer a safe and quiet school time.
- What is unique here is the environment and how it has been thought that each student should be able to find their place to create study peace and security in the very best way, says the school's deputy principal Josefin Helgesson.
Peeked through the window
The wait for the new school has been long and the interest great.
Pupil Cornelia Åsenius says that she and her friends used to peek in through the school window to get a glimpse of what it will look like.
But on Monday, they no longer had to look out the window because it was ready to be inaugurated.
- It is a nice school, I think it is good also because it is newly built, says Jasmin Taletovic, who is one of the students who got to start the autumn term with a brand new school.
- It feels really wonderful that the school is finished now, says the school's principal Lena Rickardsson.
