Zelensky intends to open offices of the Crimean Platform in a number of countries

The words of the state leader are quoted by the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

“The Crimean platform will exist not only in Kiev.

There will be a central office in Kiev, and in many countries where there are signatories, there will be opened certain areas related to the de-occupation of Crimea, ”he said.

According to Zelensky, he came up with the idea of ​​creating such a platform after negotiations in the Normandy format, where they proposed not to raise the topic of the peninsula.

The Crimean Platform summit is scheduled to be held on 23 August.

The unwillingness of the leaders of a number of Western countries to take part in the forum, the President of Ukraine explained their fear of Russia.

Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum in March 2014, in which a majority of residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
