The information from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs is clear: If you have a Swedish passport or residence permit together with another valid passport, there are seats on planes from Kabul, to both Tblisi and Islamabad.

But getting to the airport, you have to do it at your own risk.

"Getting there can be life-threatening," writes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a text message sent to people who have signed up for the Swedish list from Afghanistan.

One who has done so is Wadud.

He has Swedish citizenship and tried to get to the airport on Friday morning, after receiving the text message.

But gave up after a four-hour queue.

"Can die if I go there"

- Everyone shoots outside the airport, those who have lived in Afghanistan for a long time may be used to it now.

But I'm scared, I do not want to die.

- If you fall, it is not easy to get up again because there are so many people.

He will not try to get to the airport again in the next few days due to the risk, he says.

- If I go there, I'll probably die soon.

But if I stay at home, I can probably live a few more days.

Before he moved to Sweden, Wadud had a job in Afghanistan which means that today, under the new Taliban regime, he fears for his life.

- It's not easy. I try to encourage my family and say that everything will go well and that nothing will happen to me.
