According to Alexei Lukatsky, this method is not new.

“Even during the first wave of coronavirus, scammers actively created fake websites that imitate the work of various companies that carry pizza and sushi,” the expert explained.

According to him, in this case, fraudsters use the same scheme, thus collecting confidential information from bank customers, and then using it to steal funds.

In turn, an expert in the field of information security Alexander Vlasov explained that usually Russians get to fraudulent sites using banners, mailings or links in social networks that "lure" users with promotions and new products.

“The key point is that as soon as you see a message on the Internet about promotions, new products, gifts, do not follow the link.

If you see the name of the company, just go to its official website and see if there is such a promotion, ”the specialist concluded.

As an alternative, he also suggested calling a company, for example, a pizza delivery company, and to clarify if such a promotion is being carried out.

Earlier it became known that fraudsters have come up with a way to steal a customer's bank data using sites that promise citizens "free pizza".
