The Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai has announced its plan to transport Expo 2020 visitors from different emirates, and it includes locating nine locations spread over the emirates of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, and allocating 70 buses, running 193 trips per day, rising to 213 trips on Thursday and Friday.

The Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, stressed the authority's keenness to facilitate the transportation process for visitors from different emirates to the Expo 2020 site, and vice versa, and for mass transportation to be the preferred option for transporting visitors to the exhibition.

He said: "As part of its comprehensive operational plan for the movement of visitors to Expo 2020, the authority has provided an integrated fleet of public transport buses, which are characterized by their compliance with European specifications for low carbon emissions (Euro 6), the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, out of its keenness to To preserve the environment and rationalize energy, which contributes to reducing the carbon footprint of the bus.”

He stressed that the buses had a low entrance to facilitate the entry of people of determination, and to provide the best services to users of mass transportation, through distinguished interior finishes and spacious seats, the provision of special seats for children, Wi-Fi service, and an entrance for USB connections. ) for charging mobile phones and providing them with smart systems. Al Tayer explained that the plan to transport visitors to the exhibition from different emirates of the country includes allocating four locations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the first being the Abu Dhabi International Airport station, and providing 10 buses, running 31 trips in both directions on the days from Saturday to Wednesday, and 33 trips in both directions on Thursday and Friday. The second location is Abu Dhabi's main bus station, where 10 buses are available, running 26 trips in both directions from Saturday to Wednesday, and 29 trips in both directions on Thursday and Friday.As for the third site, it is the Marina Mall station, and 10 buses were allocated to it, which run 27 trips in both directions on the days from Saturday to Wednesday, and 28 trips in both directions on Thursday and Friday. On the days from Saturday to Wednesday, 25 trips in both directions on Thursday and Friday, the turnaround time between bus trips at all four locations is 20 minutes.

Al Tayer added: “The authority has identified two sites to transport visitors from the Emirate of Sharjah, the first is the Jubail Bus Station, and 10 buses have been allocated to it, running 29 trips in both directions on the days from Saturday to Wednesday, and 33 trips in both directions on Thursday and Friday, with a train time of 20 minutes. The second is Muwailih Station, and 10 buses were allocated to it, running 32 trips in both directions on the days from Saturday to Wednesday, and 37 trips in both directions on Thursday and Friday, with a train time of 15 minutes.

The authority has also identified one location in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, which is the Ras Al Khaimah Bus Station, and one site in the Emirate of Ajman, which is the Ajman Bus Station. Seven buses departing from Ras Al Khaimah via Ajman are allocated to the two sites, and 17 trips will run in both directions on the days from Saturday to Wednesday, and 18 trips. In both directions, on Thursday and Friday, with a turnaround time of 60 minutes.

Fujairah

The authority has allocated four buses to transport visitors from the Emirate of Fujairah, specifically from the bus stop near City Center Fujairah. Nine trips will be carried out in both directions on the days from Saturday to Wednesday, and 10 trips in both directions on Thursday and Friday, with a time of two hours.
