Henan welcomes the province's heavy rainfall for the first time in January

In the process of this heavy rainfall, Henan Province is particularly in need of attention.

After a lapse of one month, Henan will again encounter heavy rainfall across the province.

It is estimated that the period of the strongest rainfall will be on the morning of 22nd to 23rd. Heavy rainstorms and local heavy rainstorms may occur in some parts of the north. Local rainfall can reach 250-400 mm, and the rainfall area overlaps with the areas affected by the previous heavy rains.

In fact, since August 19, heavy rainfall has gradually become apparent in most parts of Henan, and local heavy rains have appeared.

Considering that on August 22 and August 24 to 26, Henan Province will also usher in two heavy rains. It can be said that the three heavy rains are basically "seamlessly connected."

In response to the continuous heavy rainfall, the Henan Provincial Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters Office issued an emergency notice on August 18, requesting all relevant units in all regions to do a good job of preventing and responding to the upcoming three rounds of heavy rainfall.

Among them, it specifically mentioned the need to "pay close attention to urban waterlogging management and control measures."

Warning signs should be set up for bridges and culverts, underpasses and sections of stagnant water. Special personnel should be arranged to guide traffic in a timely manner. Resolutely prevent vehicles and personnel from entering dangerous areas; according to rain conditions, we should advocate flexibility and shifting work for all personnel not involved in urban operations. , Reduce the flow of people, minimize disaster losses, etc.

The Songhua River may have a large river basin flood

During this round of heavy rainfall, the Northeast region, especially the Songhua River Basin, should pay special attention to prevention.

Meteorological monitoring shows that there will be heavy to heavy rains in eastern Liaoning, western Heilongjiang, and central Jilin, and heavy rains (100-120 mm) in southeastern Liaoning.

This will also increase the risk of flooding in local rivers.

As of 8 o'clock on August 19, 19 sites on 5 rivers including Heilongjiang, Nen River, Songhua River, Wuyun River and Wusuli River in Heilongjiang Province exceeded the warning water level by 0.07 to 2.56 meters.

Compared with the same period in previous years, the water level of the main stream of Heilongjiang is 1.38-7.06 meters higher; the water level of the main stream of the Nenjiang River is 0.13-3.50 meters higher; the water level of the main stream of Songhua River is 1.73-3.53 meters higher; the water level of the main stream of Wusuli River is higher at Haiqing Station 0.41 meters, other 1.08~1.97 meters lower.

The Ministry of Water Resources predicted on August 16 that the Harbin section of the main stream of the Songhua River will be over-alarmed on August 21, with a maximum over-alarm range of about 0.2 meters, and a large basin flood will occur in the Songhua River.

As the Songhua River Basin has more rainy days, some periods of rain are slightly heavier, and the river water level is generally higher in the early period, the meteorological department reminds us to prevent the adverse effects of precipitation and incoming water on the flood control work in the basin.
