It was at half past four that the police were contacted regarding a person who injured his arm during his stay in the Jokkmokk mountains.
The police officer on duty made a decision on mountain rescue according to LSO, a law on protection against accidents, and mountain rescue resources were called in to rescue the injured.
Shortly after 19.00 on Friday evening, the police announced that the injured person was on his way to medical care by ambulance helicopter.
It is currently unclear how serious the injuries are.
