Länstrafiken in Västerbotten usually sends out temporary school cards to the municipalities before the start of school.
These bus cards must then be sent out to the students by the municipality.
But in Skellefteå it has been a miss and the students have not received their bus passes before school starts.
- We send out temporary bus passes because they are not as expensive.
From experience, there are usually many students who change schools or say no to the place.
Therefore, the municipalities receive temporary school cards before the regular ones are sent out, says Harriet Söder, CEO of Länstrafiken Västerbotten.
"Will be a double job"
But in Skellefteå municipality, they have not sent out the temporary school cards to the students, but instead ordered regular school cards from the county administrative board that they have been waiting for.
- We have ordered the real bus passes but have not received them.
Now we do not have time to send out the bus passes to the students before Monday.
We send out the bus passes as soon as we can when we receive them, says Lena Nilsson, responsible for school transport in Skellefteå municipality.
Why did you not send out the temporary bus passes?
- It will be a double job for us.
Then we have communication problems.
But all students will go to school, says Lena Nilsson.
County traffic also says that no students will be denied a ride on the bus.
- The first days we have a little indulgence.
You do not have to worry about not being allowed to take the bus, says Harriet Söder.
