Dubai Municipality closes 24 institutions and violates 39 within 18 days

Dubai Municipality reported that it closed 24 institutions, and violated 39 others, within 18 days, due to non-compliance with the measures to confront the emerging Corona virus, which included institutions of diversified activity.

The municipality's statistics indicated that the compliance rate amounted to 98% of the total number of inspection visits carried out by municipal inspectors to 36,219 establishments.

The municipality warned 403 institutions during the same period, all for violating the precautionary measures specified to confront the outbreak of the “Corona” virus.

The municipality stressed the need for all institutions to adhere to the precautionary measures and measures it imposed to limit the spread of the Corona virus infection.

The municipality had imposed requirements and controls on all institutions that exercise their activities in the Emirate of Dubai, and are subject to its supervision, and included the application and regulation of safe distances for physical distancing, to be two meters between people, and directing workers, in the event of any symptoms of respiratory infection, to visit the nearest health center for examination and treatment, and not to Doing work, and not allowing customers with symptoms of respiratory infection to enter.

She pointed out that these procedures are valid in all institutions until further notice, and are followed up to ensure compliance with them, and non-compliant institutions are violated in accordance with the regulations in force.

The municipality affirmed that violations related to prevention and safety measures will not be tolerated, as there is no room to jeopardize the safety and security of community members, warning against transgressing them, as the procedures range between violation and closure.

The closure decisions included four cafes, 11 laundries, a restaurant, seven beauty salons, and three fitness centers. Violations varied about non-compliance with wearing a mask, overcrowding, and non-compliance with health practices and personal hygiene. The restaurant was also closed due to violating instructions for the use of chemicals, The quality of the materials used.
