China News Service, August 19, according to Peru's "Gazette", on the 18th local time, the Peruvian Medical Association (CMP) reported that so far, more than 300,000 people in Peru are waiting for the second dose of Pfizer vaccine, but The Ministry of Health does not have enough doses to complete the vaccination and is currently waiting for Pfizer's next batch of vaccines to arrive in Peru.

The Peruvian Medical Association pointed out that due to the delayed arrival of the new crown vaccine, the vaccination campaign in Peru cannot move forward faster.

Although the last transitional government reached a vaccine procurement agreement with different foreign laboratories and established a timetable, the actual situation is different.

The Peruvian Medical Association said: "The shortage of new crown vaccines is worldwide. The spread of new crown virus delta variants has complicated the epidemic in many countries. It is a big problem for laboratories to fulfill these procurement contracts and guarantee the arrival of vaccines."

According to the Ministry of Health, 594,360 doses of Pfizer vaccine will arrive in Peru on August 19, local time.
