19 August 2021 A hacker attack on the servers of the Regional Health Agency (Ars) of Tuscany has caused the destruction of numerous epidemiological-statistical data, but the technicians are working to recover them from backups, where they were saved.

According to sources in the Region, no data was stolen and the attack did not concern sensitive personal health data since the Ars does not process them in its study activities.

The attack dates back to about two days ago and is slowing down the work of the Ars operators. A report to the postal police is expected.
