The start of school is postponed in Gävle

The municipality postpones the start of school for compulsory school and upper secondary school.

This is due to the rainy weather and the previous call to stay home.

- We have decided this morning that the municipal schools, both high schools and primary schools, postpone the start of school, says Eva Levin, head of school in Gävle municipality to P4 Gävleborg.


• Primary schools and leisure activities will be open to those students who need supervision.


• Students in years 7-9 who have not been reached by the information and come to school will be allowed to go home.


• The special school is kept open for those students who need supervision.


• The upper secondary schools will be open to inform the students who have not been reached by the information. 


• The municipal preschools are open as usual but today with limited activities due to the staffing situation.
