This was reported by the Eastern Interregional Investigation Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

“At present, all the bodies of the victims have been raised from the bottom of the lake, identified by their relatives, and forensic medical examinations have been ordered,” the Investigative Committee said.

It is also planned to carry out actions to raise the Mi-8 helicopter and its parts from the bottom of the lake.

On August 12, a Mi-8 helicopter, on board of which there were 16 people, fell into the Kuril Lake in Kamchatka.

Eight of them were saved.

Investigators opened a criminal case on the fact of the incident. 

The helicopter was found at the bottom of the lake at a depth of 110 m.
