One of those who will return to normal is high school student Tyra Gyllemalm.

She is looking forward to coming back and meeting friends and teachers, but is a little nervous about the ongoing pandemic.

- It still feels a bit insecure because the spread of infection is underway, she says.

No choice about distance education

From the tenth of August, it is no longer possible for a school principal to decide on distance and distance education himself.

Therefore, students must now return to the classrooms.

- We can only conduct distance learning if the Swedish Public Health Agency or infection control doctors tell us that now is not the time for it, says Eva Lindbäck, head of upper secondary school in Luleå.

In the video above, you hear students Tyra and Felicia about the start of school - and how the schools intended to reduce the risk of spreading covid-19.
