The Sharjah Private Education Authority issues a circular regarding the procedures for returning to schools

The Sharjah Private Education Authority has issued a circular to the principals of private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah regarding the procedures for returning to schools.

The circular stated that out of concern for the safety of students and workers in educational institutions, it was decided that the procedures for returning to schools for the 2021-2022 school year would be as follows: Request a negative “pcr” smear from all employees in educational institutions and students from 12 years of age and over Click to enter the educational institution at the beginning of the new academic year.

The authority also stipulated that employees in educational institutions be fully vaccinated against “Covid-19” “at least two doses” to enter the educational institution, except for those excluded from vaccination with an approved medical report, and those excluded from vaccination are obligated to conduct a “pcr” examination on a weekly basis.

With regard to new workers coming from outside the country and not receiving the vaccination, they are exempted from the vaccination requirement to enter educational institutions, as they are allowed to enter and are granted an exception for a period of two months to obtain the vaccination, provided that they commit to conducting a “pcr” examination on a weekly basis during that period.

The circular clarified that it is not required for students to obtain the vaccination to enter educational institutions at the present time, and it is sufficient to have a negative "pcr" swab at the beginning of the school year. The authority called on parents to encourage their children to obtain the vaccination in support of the state's efforts to control the epidemic and reach community immunity.
