“Still, inflation has gone up a little, and mortgages are the only way for young families to get the opportunity to purchase their own homes,” Ryazansky said.

The parliamentarian noted that “demography is pushing us to create conditions for young families,” therefore he supports the extension of the program.

In his opinion, the creation of more favorable conditions for the purchase of housing is doubly beneficial to the state, because "the construction industry will work for these purposes."

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a cabinet meeting that "the government is extending preferential family mortgages."

In early July, it was reported that the Russian government, on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin, extended the preferential mortgage program until July 1, 2022 and expanded the terms of the Family Mortgage program.
