During the last summer, much was unclear about the extent to which the municipality of Nyköping would conduct leisure center operations.
Later in the year, in connection with SVT Sörmland's review, there was also sharp criticism of how the work with young people in the municipality is organized.
Open every weekday
Now a room has been arranged centrally, and after a delay due to the pandemic, the new leisure center "Central arena" could be inaugurated on Monday.
It will serve as a base for the business and complement the three other businesses in Oppeby, Brandkärr and Arnö.
Opening hours are 15-21 on weekdays.
- There is nothing big that has been open Monday to Friday before, so this will be a giant step, says leisure leader Juliet Jakob.
