The South Korea-US exercise was mainly conducted in a virtual computer mode, without real-force maneuvers. It was a routine exercise of a defensive nature.
In view of the severe situation of the epidemic, in accordance with the epidemic prevention policy, South Korea and the United States have dispersed exercise sites and only mobilized necessary personnel to participate in the exercise.
The South Korean Joint Staff Headquarters said that in order to continue to advance the process of conditional transfer of war rights agreed by South Korea and the United States, some exercises will test whether the South Korean army has a full operational capability (FOC).
