16 August 2021 Nas checks, in agreement with the Ministry of Health, on tourist villages, campsites, farmhouses: 17 closures and 301 criminal and administrative violations contested, for 150 thousand euros. The checks involved 724 businesses, ascertaining violations of 202 of them. In particular, the failure to implement anti-Covid measures (use of personal protective equipment and masks, presence of dispensers, disinfection procedures, distancing) was noted. Checked the regularity on the green pass by the guests. Half of all violations concern sanitation deficiencies in meal preparation.
In particular, according to the Carabinieri of the Nas, in the inspected structures, environments used for the preparation and administration of meals, often improvised or illegally expanded with respect to forecasts and placed in confined spaces, sometimes even without drinking water, were found. In the most serious cases, food was found in poor condition and fraudulently proposed as fresh, while in others there was no indication of the presence of allergens or the traceability of the product. Controls that led to the seizure of 1,890 kg of irregular foods. Of the 17 measures for closure and suspension of activities, 11 cases concerned the environments intended for the processing and management of food and meals,in the remaining situations, on the other hand, they were arranged towards housing spaces and appurtenances such as illegal swimming pools.
