Third, in order to cope with the climate crisis, South Korea will do its best to fulfill its responsibilities.

Based on the “2050 Carbon Neutral Plan” released on the 5th of this month, South Korea will collect public opinion extensively, and will establish a feasible 2030 NDC emission reduction commitment target within this year, and will be a serious member of the international community. Perform your duties due diligence.

South Korea can also remove this barrier. Consolidating peace on the peninsula through institutionalization will bring huge benefits to both South Korea and North Korea. Benefit.

He said that even if it takes more time to achieve reunification of the North and the South, the two sides can coexist peacefully and create a peninsula model that contributes to the prosperity of Northeast Asia through the denuclearization of the peninsula and the establishment of a lasting peace mechanism.

Regarding the relationship between South Korea and Japan, Moon Jae-in said that the South Korean government has not only resolved outstanding issues between South Korea and Japan, but also has been opening the door to Japan for dialogue on global issues such as the new crown epidemic and the climate crisis.

After the restoration of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Japan, based on the common values of democracy and market economy, they have achieved economic growth through division of labor and cooperation for a long time. This is also the direction for the two countries to work together in the future.

However, Moon Jae-in pointed out that with regard to issues left over from history, the South Korean side will take practical actions to resolve relevant issues based on the universal values and standards of the international community.

It is hoped that South Korea and Japan will gather wisdom, overcome difficulties together, and set a model for cooperation between neighboring countries.
