Even though it's still summer, now is the best time to practice one of the elements in the humpback: the jump.

At the weekend camp, the participants, who were aged 10 and up, had to warm up on a trampoline before it was time to go over to the water jump.

- You may do your first backward or forward turn on the trampoline.

When we see that you can do it safely, you may have to take it further in the hope, says Annika Holmström.

What is the advantage of training before the humpback piste season in August?

- We get more hours to wear and then it is safe to practice forward and backward turns in the summer when you can land wrong on the water.

If you land on your head on the snow, then you can hurt yourself.

Then it creates community to be seen in summer under other conditions.

The sport is growing

Humpback riding is a relatively small sport in Sweden in terms of number of practitioners, but according to Annika Holmström it is on the rise.

- It has grown quite well overall in Sweden.

In Stockholm, for example, there is Värmdö freestyle, which this winter will most likely have 100 skiers.

It's pretty cool.

I see a development potential in the hump piste - you think it's difficult, but once you learn the technique, it's no more difficult than slalom.
