The updated situation in Italy and in the world
Today in Italy there are 5,664 new cases with 160,870 swabs (the positivity rate rises to 3.5%) and 19 deaths, according to data released by the Ministry of Health. The total number of victims since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 128,432. Coronavirus positives in Italy are still on the rise: today they are 128,528, 2,062 more than yesterday. There are 3,580 new people recovered from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Italy, bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 4,183,709. There are 124,982 people in home isolation (yesterday 122,993).
Yesterday there were 7,188 cases with 254,006 swabs (rate at 2.8%) and 34 deaths.
384 intensive care, 3,162 hospitalized
There are 384 patients hospitalized in intensive care for Covid in Italy, an increase of 12 units compared to yesterday in the balance between entries and exits. The daily admissions, according to data from the Ministry of Health, are 29 (yesterday they were 37). The hospitalized with symptoms in the ordinary wards are 3,162 (3,101 yesterday), with an increase of 61 units compared to yesterday.
