The company
"Diversiones en el arena"
has suspended the comic bullfighting show that it had programmed in Baza (Granada) after the Board warned to
file
with
the City Council,
after which Vox has asked the Andalusian Government to rectify or compensate those affected .
The organizing company had planned for this Sunday a
"comic-bullfighting" show
in the Baza bullring, although it decided to suspend it due to the pressure received.
"Diversiones en el arena" presented the performance as a leisure proposal for the whole family and had the support of the Baza City Council, which in turn received a notice from the Junta de Andalucía to prevent the show as it was considered damaging to the image of people with disabilities.
According to the company's social media profile, the suspension responds to the opposition of the
Ministry of Equality, Social Policies and Conciliation
, which they have blamed for prohibiting the workforce from working.
"
With the bread of our families you do not play
and we will have lost a battle but not the war, this is not going to stay that way," added the company, which has received support from spectators and bullfighting figures such as Juan Mora.
After the suspension of the show, Vox has demanded in a statement that the Board rectify and allow the
bullfighting show
to be held
in Baza
.
The deputy spokesperson of the Vox parliamentary group and deputy for Granada,
Macarena Olona
, has regretted that the Board has threatened those responsible for this show and has considered that the Andalusian president, Juanma Moreno, has committed "abuse of power."
On her Twitter profile, Olona has warned the Board that if Vox does not rectify it, it will denounce the Minister of Equality, Rocío Ruiz, for prevarication.
"It's okay with so much dictatorship,"
summarized Olona.
He has thus joined the statements of the deputy and spokesperson for Vox in the Andalusian Culture committee, Benito Morillo, who has criticized the attitude of the Andalusian Government and has criticized that they have "forced to suspend" this show starring
people with achondroplasia
.
Morillo has also accused the Board of leaving eight people with achondroplasia unemployed and doing so for "hating" the traditions.
"Now it is the Junta that has attacked our traditions along with the rights and freedom of a group that develops a most dignified job and, above all, a job that allows them to bring bread home," added the parliamentarian of Vox, which has linked the suspension of the show to ideological reasons.
He has also demanded
that the Board rectify
, apologize to the company and its workers and allow the event to take place.
"If it is not held, it will
have to compensate all those affected
for having forced the suspension of the bullfighting event that was going to be held in Baza," added Morillo, who announced that his party will get to the bottom of the matter.
