The inspection report states that several serious incidents occurred at the school, and that staff were subjected to violence by a student on at least two occasions.

The Swedish Work Environment Authority considers that the school has failed in several ways in handling this and points out a number of shortcomings and risks.

Requires action

The Swedish Work Environment Authority now demands measures from the school, including a proper investigation of the underlying causes of the reported incidents, risk assessments and an action plan.

The school must also ensure that there is an opportunity to alert and get help quickly and ensure that the staff have knowledge of how to protect themselves against violence without harming the attacker.

The school principal cannot comment at the moment as he has not had time to familiarize himself with the matter.

The school now has until the end of October to answer the Swedish Work Environment Authority on how to meet the requirements.
