For many Skellefteå residents who have tried to book a vaccine appointment, it has been a frustrating summer with many daily visits to Vaccina's website.
When the region's vaccine coordinator recently realized that there were no times to book for dose two in Skellefteå, he immediately contacted Vaccina.
The company that the region has hired to vaccinate the people of Skellefteå this summer.
- Since I contacted them more than once, I was quite upset.
I think they calculated incorrectly this time and have now fixed it, says Ronny Lestander, vaccine coordinator in Västerbotten.
Sick leave
Vaccina says that some of the booking problems were due to sick leave among the staff.
- In general, things are going well in Skellefteå.
We are the only player there so we feel we have a great responsibility.
Last week we had problems with unusually high sickness absence.
It created a temporary lag in the system, says CEO Pontus Kressner.
He regrets that some have had problems booking a vaccination appointment and admits that things could have been done differently.
Vaccina's mission will soon end and the Västerbotten Region will evaluate how they have done their job.
