"It is allowed to enter Hungary with a negative result of a PCR test in Hungarian or English, conducted in Russia within 72 hours prior to entry," Interfax quotes a message from the embassy.

Previously, Russian tourists who had not been vaccinated against COVID-19 had to observe a ten-day quarantine.

It is noted that this innovation was made as an exception to the government's order on restrictions on entry into the republic.

The diplomatic mission clarified that during the restrictions on entry to Hungary due to the coronavirus pandemic, only one-time tourist visas will generally be issued, a paid ticket will need to be attached to the application.

Earlier it became known that the Hungarian authorities from July 27 will allow Russian tourists vaccinated against coronavirus to freely enter the country.
