This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Balkan Republic, Oliver Spassovski, on his Facebook page.
“To date, 17 people have been detained, and 16 more persons have been invited for interrogations to the police on suspicion of organizing deliberate arson.
Three criminal cases have already been opened, and in two cases charges of minor offense have been brought, ”he wrote.
He added that law enforcement officers will continue to work to identify possible facts of arson in the future.
Over the past few weeks, the region has been fighting wildfires.
