“Lebanon is in survival mode.

The economic crisis in Lebanon has grown to such an extent that basic goods are extremely expensive.

Count twenty dollars for a package of pasta, thirty for sanitary napkins and fifty for cheese.

These impressive figures are the consequences of the political, financial and health crises which have hit the country hard for a year and a half.

The Lebanese pound has no more value, gasoline is rationed: you have to queue for more than an hour every day to have enough to get home.

The current is cut very frequently for several hours, the public lights are off ... Ghida and Christina are among the rare young Lebanese to have remained in the country.

They testify to their daily life in the video of our partner Brut.
