The Dubai Criminal Court acquitted an (Asian) sales manager who was accused by his former company of stealing equipment belonging to the company, after he decided to resign from it and work for a competing company, and his lawyer argued that the accusation was malicious to force him not to leave the company and give up his dues.

In detail, one of the owners of the company claiming in the investigations said that the company's activity is the installation of protection systems for ships and maintenance of devices, pointing out that the accused was working as a director of sales and maintenance, and embezzled 80 luminous pieces, smoke devices and transmitters from the company's headquarters, as he went there accompanied by Amin. The warehouse, and he transferred the devices to his car and then disposed of them for his own benefit in the hope of their value, stressing that there were no disputes between him and the accused, but the latter filed a labor lawsuit against the company, after reporting against him.

The owner of the company added that the warehouse keeper was summoned, who stated that the accused sent him a text message asking him to prepare the goods, then passed him to his house the next day and took him to the warehouse, where he transferred the devices to his car and then returned the warehouse keeper to the house.

The owner of the company stated that no one was present in the warehouse when the employee committed his crime except Al-Amin, because they went there on Friday, pointing out that they verified through the Roads Authority that the accused crossed with his vehicle belonging to the company on the road that leads to the place of goods, but he did not He brings invoices showing how he disposes of these goods, although he can bring them later if the delivery is urgent.

He stated that the warehouse keeper told him that he was afraid to report the accused because the latter was his manager and might harm him, indicating that he asked the accused orally, and he confessed to the accusation against him, attributing his crime to his need for money.

For his part, the defense of the accused, lawyer Muhammad Abdullah Al-Rida, said that the incident had a completely different picture, as this accusation was fabricated against his client with the aim of undermining him because he decided to leave the company and move to another competing company, so they decided to take revenge on him by depriving him of his dues and the huge commissions assigned to him.

He added that the accused worked for five years with that company, and was an example to follow in honesty and devotion to the job, and succeeded in forming a broad base of clients, and was keen to communicate with his superiors and inform them of all developments.

He indicated that due to his seriousness and diligence at work, he was coveted by competing companies, and he received an attractive offer from one of them nine days before opening a complaint against him, after he learned that the owner of the company in which he works was leaving the company, and consequently the company would lose many customers, as well. about that it will be obliged to pay the labor dues and commissions to him.

He said that the owner of the company had falsely claimed that his client had stolen devices and equipment whose value did not exceed 7,000 dirhams in order to evade paying his dues.
