Some of the horses were on their way to Sockenplan metro station and some had run into a residential area.
Staff from the riding school, the general public and the police helped to catch the horses and now all twelve horses have returned to the riding school.
"Bikes past them every day"
Maneerat Markström was on her way to work when she saw the twelve horses on the bike path.
- It felt a little uncomfortable because I am afraid of horses, but I usually cycle past them every morning and immediately understood that they had escaped.
Two girls from the riding school ran after and tried to catch them as well, she says.
