A 47-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to three years in prison, including one suspended, by the Rennes criminal court, for having chained 25 offenses in a few days in July.

This former detainee, released in the spring, is the author of credit card fraud and various thefts including five vehicles between Sens-de-Bretagne, Fougères and Cancale.
He was arrested on July 24, nine days after having managed to escape the gendarmes at the cost of a perilous car chase.
At the helm, the man, isolated and destitute since his release from prison, explained that he wanted to "go see the sea".
He returned to detention on Wednesday evening.
