Blekinge has a summer with a lot of wasps, and the question of whether after last year's missed wasp summer would be one this year has now received an answer.
- Seen to the whole country, it is only here in Blekinge that we have wasp summer, says Tom Lindgren, service manager Anticimex.
Twice as many wasp jobs
The last few weeks have been intense for the company and so far they have done around 1500 clean-ups of wasps.
There are twice as many wasp jobs than have been carried out in the Kalmar and Växjö regions combined.
- And considering that we have much fewer households in Blekinge than in those regions, there are significantly many more wasps here than other regions in southeast Sweden, says Tom Lindgren.
Requested reinforcement
As Anticimex had up to 200 booked jobs on certain days, they had to enlist the help of staff from surrounding offices.
