It was the night between December 29 and 30 that it started to burn in the restaurant that was located along the pedestrian street in central Östersund.

The fire was fast and the house could not be saved.

The man is charged with aggravated arson, because the fire was set in a densely populated area where it could easily spread and endanger people.

The man has admitted in interrogation that he started the fire with the help of lighter fluid and toilet paper.

In connection with the fire, he is also said to have threatened two people who tried to intervene against him by saying that he was armed.

The man also had a knife on him.

Threatened doctors

The man is also charged with several cases of threatening an official, after he repeatedly threatened a doctor with violence in November last year. The man sent an SMS to the doctor where he threatened with violence, as revenge for the doctor's decision on forensic psychiatric care for the man.
