This "

historic

"

project

This plan provides for $ 550 billion in new federal spending.

But it reached, in total, 1,200 billion dollars, if we take into account the reorientation of other existing public funding.

Its

goal

is to repair roads, bridges and railroads that have been abandoned for years.

Investments will also be made in high-speed internet, the renovation of drinking water circuits and the construction of charging stations for electric vehicles.

Uncertain future in the House of Representatives

This plan aims, in fact, to accelerate the ecological transition of the country.

Joe Biden intends to

create millions of jobs

to revive an economy weakened by the health crisis.

Passed by the

Senate

, the future is more uncertain in the House of Representatives controlled by the presidential party.

The fault of many tensions between the Democratic left wing and the centrists.

The Democratic left wing would indeed like to link the adoption of this infrastructure plan to another project devoted to health, education and early childhood.
