"At the end of August at the airfields of the Western Military District, an exercise was planned for special types of support for the Aerospace Forces," said Dronov. 

According to him, during the exercise, the issues of preparation for the fulfillment of tasks for the assignment of aviation units of all types of aviation, including for the first time long-range and unmanned aviation, will be worked out.

As specified, more than 450 aircraft will be involved in the exercise.

Earlier it was reported that more than ten aircraft and helicopters of the Central Military District (CVD) will be involved in the joint exercises of Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan at the Harb-Maidon training ground on the border with Afghanistan.
