“It has been established that two residents of the city of Armyansk held meetings and speeches in different premises, promoted the ideas of the Jehovah's Witnesses religious organization, and also recruited new adherents into their ranks.

For conspiracy purposes, the meetings were held using video communication via Internet applications, ”TASS reports.

It is noted that "searches were carried out in the places of residence of members of the local cell, during which communications equipment, electronic media, personal computers, extremist literature, and other items testifying to illegal activities were found and seized."

The Investigation Department of the FSB of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol opened criminal cases against two residents of Armyansk on the grounds of corpus delicti under Part 1 of Art.

282.2 of the Criminal Code of Russia "Organization of the activities of an extremist organization." 

Earlier, as Novy Sevastopol reported, one of the organizers of the Yalta cell of Jehovah's Witnesses was detained in Crimea.
