In the strangest response to his demand to resign from his position, and mocking his demands, an Iraqi government official said that he shared an "advance" with other officials and that his last name was there.

In Iraq, it is called an “advance” for a gathering of several people to enter into an association, each person pays the same amount as the others, on a specific date for all, and is given to one of them, so that everyone receives the same amount successively.

Dhi Qar Governor Ahmed Al-Khafaji wrote on his Facebook page, "I will not resign" because of participating in an association with other governors and his last role will be in it, in reference to his refusal to resign from his position, after news circulated that he submitted a request to resign from the position.

Al-Khafaji sparked controversy and ridicule on social media platforms in Iraq, after his strange response to his demand to resign.

In the words of the governor of Dhi Qar and on his personal page,

this is actually what is happening in Iraq. The quota system consists of (an advance) or (association) to share the wealth of the country. Each bloc has its role in theft. It seems that the governor is in the last role, according to what he says, so he cannot resign and that is why we went out We say # We want a homeland pic.twitter.com/ACDGBNbKJv
