Former President of South Korea's 90-year-old has difficulty breathing during trial and leaves court

  Haiwainet, August 9th, according to Yonhap News Agency, on the afternoon of the 9th, the 90-year-old former South Korean President Chun Doo-hwan appeared in court at the Gwangju District Court. He left the court midway after complaining of breathing difficulties after only 25 minutes.

  It is reported that Quan Dou-hwan was sentenced to 8 months in the first instance in November 2020 and suspended for 2 years on suspicion of defamation of the deceased.

This was the first time he appeared in court after 252 days, and he refused to appear in court on the grounds that he suffered from Alzheimer's many times.

  Chun Doo-hwan is 90 years old and has been re-elected as the 11th and 12th president of South Korea.

In 1996, Quan Dou-hwan was prosecuted for being involved in military rebellion. He was sentenced to death in the first instance and was later commuted to life imprisonment.

In December 1997, Chun Doo-hwan received an amnesty from President-elect Kim Dae-jung and was released in early 1998.

In July 2013, Quan Dou-hwan was ransacked and repaid the stolen money.
