He noted the manifestation of special attention to domestic affairs of Russia from abroad, in particular, on the part of Western partners.

"They are trying to use international organizations in every possible way to complicate the holding of elections, used the OSCE for unacceptable actions that directly contradict the responsibilities of the secretariat of this organization and the Bureau, which should deal with democratic issues and human rights," Lavrov said.

At the end of July, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Russia is ready to accept and ensure the safe stay of international observers for the upcoming elections of the State Duma deputies.

Last week, the OSCE said it would not be able to send observers to the State Duma elections due to demands to limit their number.
