How did the British Prime Minister survive drowning?

British media have revealed that Prime Minister Boris Johnson "nearly drowned" at sea during a family summer vacation in Scotland last year.

The Times reported that Johnson spent time on the northwest coast of the Highlands with his then-bride Carrie Symonds, and their son Wilfred.

It quoted informed sources as saying that Johnson was at one time in need of someone to save him after the sea washed him away from the coast.

The sources confirmed that he drifted and found himself going further and further, according to the newspaper "Metro".

According to the report, the Prime Minister's personal security personnel were monitoring the situation from the coast and were considering calling in a rescue helicopter.

She reported that Johnson finally managed to paddle back in the middle of the road, but his security officers needed to swim alongside him to help him along the way.

"Everything was fine in the end, but there could have been a disaster," the sources added.

Johnson is known as a reasonably strong swimmer, and was photographed diving into Carbis Bay during the G7 summit earlier this year.
