On August 8, Guangdong Shaoguan Danxia Airport officially began flight verification.
Shaoguan Danxia Airport is an airport in the province's "5+4" backbone airport layout, and it is also an important airport in the province's airport planning and construction layout in the northern Guangdong region.
The airport is located in Guitou Town, Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County, northwest of Shaoguan City. It is 30 kilometers away from Shaoguan downtown and covers an area of more than 3,300 acres.
The project is designed and constructed to meet the annual passenger throughput of 1 million passengers and cargo and mail throughput of 4,000 tons. The flight area grade index is 4C and the runway is 2,800 meters long. It can meet the take-off and landing requirements of Airbus A320, Boeing 737-800, etc. .
Shaoguan Danxia Airport is planned to be positioned as a "tourist destination feeder airport". In the near future, it will focus on the development of civil aviation passenger and cargo transportation, taking into account the development of general aviation, and will develop into an important tourist destination feeder airport in South China and Guangdong Province in the long term.
